PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

  

MARKING FLAGS - The District has fluorescent pink marking flags for sale.  They are sold in

                                     bundles of 50/$4.00 and 100/$8.00

  

2009 PLAT BOOKS - The District has 2009 plat books for sale for $15.00 each.

  

PLAINS NO-TILL DRILL - The District has a Great Plains no-till drill that has the

capability to plant WARM SEASON GRASS (big blue stem, little blue stem, etc.), COOL SEASON

GRASS (orchard grass, timothy, etc.), and SMALL SEED (like alfalfa and clover).

The no-till drill will seed an 6 foot width with the rows 7 inches apart. The SWCD is renting it to

landowners and operators to establish small acreage for wildlife habitat, hay seeding, or conservation

cover. A tractor that is at 40 horse power and has external hydraulic is needed to operate the drill.

The drill has an initial fee of $50 at pick up plus $7 an acre for non-commercial production; $1 an acre

discount if paid within 10 days of billing.  The Great Plains No-till Grass Drill and the No-till Grass Drill Lease/Rental Liability Waiver Form must be filled out and approved before the drill may be rented.

 

  

SALFORD RTS (Residue Tillage System) - The District purchased a 2008 Salford RTS Model 570. 

When used in the Spring, it is a high speed vertical tillage piece of equipment that cuts and distributes

crop residue while warming the soil to a shall depth to create an ideal seedbed; When used in the Fall

after harvest, it is a fast way to begin residue break down for utilization in next season's crops.

It's a 24' RTS, 7" spacing, 24' 3 Bar 1/2" tine harrow w/14" roller.  The Machine is 24'; requires 5-10

HP per foot of machine; Run 6-14 MPH; Can cover 15-30 acres an hour.

Rental fee is $6 an acre with a $100 (20 acres) minimum; $1 an acre discount if paid within 10 days of billing.

The Salford RTS Information and Rates and RTS Lease/Rental Liability Waiver Form must be filled out and approved before the RTS may be rented.
