SALFORD RTS INFORMATION AND RATES
This equipment was purchased by the Marshall County SWCD to assist farmers. in managing their crop residue. It is a high speed vertical tillage piece of equipment that cuts and distributes crop residue while warming the soil to a shallow depth to create an ideal seedbed.
Rental Fee - $6 an acre with a $100 (20 acres) minimum;
$1 an acre discount if paid within 10 days of use
I understand that I am responsible for the following:
- to perform an inspection of the equipment for damage prior to taking it into my possession and to report any damage to the District office immediately
- to grease the machine as recommended (in binder) using the grease included with the RTS
- to clean the RTS before returning it to the office or for the next user
- to immediately contact the District when I pick up and return the equipment
- to report the number of acres actually covered to the District when I return the equipment;
- to be responsible for the transport of the equipment from a previous job, or to and from the District parking lot
Normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of the District. Damage due to negligence, abuse, or failure to follow instruction WILL BE the responsibility of the user. The District WILL NOT be responsible or be held liable for accidents when the Salford RTS is in your care, custody, and control.. All damages or accidents will be reported to the District office within one business day.
Supervisors/Staff have the right to inspect the equipment at any time while under the renter’s possession. The District reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time and require the return of the district equipment.
This agreement is to be signed and returned to the District PRIOR to use. The District may send a representative to assess RTS’ condition after each use. IMPORTANT - Do not allow anyone to take possession of the drill until it has been cleared through the office personnel. Damages resulting from such unauthorized use will be the responsibility of the previous renter.
